Perform venipuncture using your institution’s recommended procedure (see CLSI Guidelines GP41Ed7 for more info). Hold the HelioLiver Collection Tube vertically below the donor’s arm during blood collection. Allow at least 10 seconds for a complete blood draw to take place. Ensure that the blood has stopped flowing into the tube before removing the tube from the holder.
Gently invert each tube 8 times.

Gently invert tube 5 times. Do not shake. Allow blood to clot thoroughly before centrifugation with a minimum time of 30 minutes and no more than 60 minutes. Tubes should incubate upright to complete clotting process. Centrifuge for 15 minutes 1,000-1,300 RCF (xg) at room temperature (15°C - 25°C).
- Collect whole blood and serum samples as indicated.
- Pack the specimens based on the instructions included with the collection kit.
- Return shipping packaging and labels are included.
